Maslow Assessment Test

The noble objective Of Maslows Hierarchy of Needs Theory was to explain the needs that drive the individual to be motivated. If these needs according to Maslow are the result of unsatisfied needs, then the manager has to understand which one of the needs is important.  However, Maslow also emphasized that when these needs are satisfied then it no longer motivates the individual and tend to look for higher need.

Maslows Assessment Test provides a series of questions were designed to evaluate the individuals behaviours with regards to hisher physiological needs, safety needs, love needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization. This position paper aim to explain how effective this Maslow assessment test based on the experience of the reporter.

In Maslows theory, higher needs like social needs and esteem are not experienced by individual unless the basic needs are achieve, but there are indications that shows starving artists and successful artists who became wealthy, based on the results attached herewith. According to Netmba.Com (2009), the Maslow assessment test is grouped into five (5) different categories, such as the following

Physiological Needs  are needs that life maintaining, like air, water, nutriment and sleep
Safety as  the next on the hierarchy of needs that follows after that of psychological needs are safety and security.  To be freed from physical and emotional harm, it is likely that the individuals would avail services that provide security, like in availing financial and insurance services to name a few
Social needs are need when a person has met the lower level physiological and safety needs.

Additionally, higher level needs become significant when social needs were achieved. Moreover, social needs are those related to relationship with others that may include need for friendship, belongingness, and love, in which poetically referred as  No Man Is an Island  (Donne, 1572-1631)
Esteem is the need for self-respect, achievement, attention, recognition, and dignity. This is the stage of life where you want your accomplishment to be recognized or known, and the the last one of the hierarchy of needs is Self-actualization it is the apex of Maslows hierarchy of needs. It is where a person attained his full potential. However, this stage can never be satisfied for man is materialistic in nature according to Machiavellian theory.

The Test Accuracy
On the context of accuracy, it is necessary that the definition of accuracy must be distinctively defined first in order to differentiate the term   in contrast to the word precision vis--vis to the word error that lies in the context of the terms. Accuracy by definition is usually an exact amount or precise measurement. It can measure answers we give in school, or in any test that we take.

Accuracy further refers to the agreement between a measurement and the true or correct value. Precision refers to the repeatability of measurement. It does not require us to know the correct or true value. Error on the other hand refers to the disagreement between a measurement and the true or accepted value. You may be amazed to discover that error is not that important in the discussion of experimental results. This statement certainly needs some explanation.

Uncertainty of a measured value is an interval around that value such that any repetition of the measurement will produce a new result that lies within this interval. This uncertainty interval is assigned by the experimenter following established principles of uncertainty estimation.

According to the web site College.Edu (2009), one of the goals of Maslows Assessment is to help you become proficient at assigning and working with uncertainty intervals.  As cited, it cannot be discussed meaningfully unless the true value is unknown that can only be filled up by the reporter s actual experience after  taking the test and alone can  confirm the accuracy of the result (College.Edu, 2009).    How accurate Maslow assessment test is, depends on how honest the examinee is, for instance if the examinee will opt for a repetitive test and chose to change the answers he or she provided previously will surely change the summary of the result which is subject to error as to the true value of the test that lies deep inside of the examinees  conscience.

Conclusion
It may be concluded, the result is quite accurate for reasons that the range or scale of 1 to 5 that measure the test cannot provide the accurate answers because of the gap between the ranges influenced by hesitation defined between being straightforward and conceited type of person the examinee is. Nonetheless, the result of the test (see attached) shows that the reporter on the aspect of psychological needs  have everything  to survive physically, while on the facet of safety and security, the reporter look likes to have adequate safety and security.  On the part of love needs, the reporter appears to be contented with the quality of its social connection.  It also became apparent  on the result that the examinee has, a high level of skill competence.  On the aspect of of self-actualization, the examinee achieved an average level of individual development.
