To All Employees

Hello Everyone,
My advice for managing people today is to first and foremost, remember that people are people.  In working effectively as one unit, it would be wise to understand that judgements of social class have no place in a work environment.  We are all prestigious in our own right in wanting what is best for all concerned (Blum, 1944).

In managing people we need to examine socio cultural aspects as they stand.  Our understanding of the economic status will be a deciding factor in our relation and response to social change.  With the continued labor conflicts as a result of a reduction in wages, we need to increase worker and management communications to be effective (Bartle, 2007).

We are embarking on a sociocultural evolution, wherein the foundation is built strongly from ideas of rational thought that include technical and mechanical structures.  The manipulation of these structures for positive outcomes is imperative, not only as a society but for individuality as well (NAU, 2005).
Value systems are vital to an organizations existence.  It is the difference in a company with growth potential in looking out for employees, versus a company that is a sweat shop in looking out for what they can get out of people.  In light of this and in looking at the workforce as a battlefield, it would be wise to band together and pull all resources in a unified effort of survival in these economic times (Blum, 1944).

True power comes from a hierarchy that is established in a unified effort of both authoritative and non-authoritative persons.  To effectively manage it is most important to have the respect of those you manage.  As a leader one must believe in his own vision, if it is to be expected for followers to believe in it, or better yet, in you.  The trust that comes with respect is representative of a leader who leads with integrity (Hierman, 2007).

Thank-you.
